Lines Bros Case - Do you recognise this Toy? Was it part of another Toy?

It looks like maybe compressed cardboard, they used this in the early days.

All corner fittings are metal.

Around 9" in width

Any ideas of what it is? please Email  me at info@talkmodeltoys.com

Re: Lines Bros Case.

I had one of these toy suitcases from about 1952. It was bought by itself without any other item.
It was a type of cardboard in a leather effect finish. The clasp was plated steel.
About 70 years ago, I can remember going on holiday with it containing drawing materials and Plasticene.
It was amongst my playthings for many years until being thrown away, presumably.
